As a kid, I always wanted to drive and then when I got to drive, I realize it was more responsibility than fun. I wanted to own my own car, then I found I had to pay for that insurance tags and maintenance. I wanted to be married and soon found how much work it is.
So often we are looking forward to the next step in our lives not basking in the simplicities of where we are nor gaining as much as we can spiritually, relationally, emotionally or intellectually as a person without the stresses of the next level. I want you to take a step back today and ask yourself are you in the present or focused too much on the next step? What is It costing you now to only see tomorrow and ignore today?
The next level will have its own battles to fight and wars to wage. Seek what you can learn and perfert from where you are now!
And to whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom they commit much, of him will they ask the more.
